Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser for Combination Skin Review

Today I am reviewing Neutrogena oil-free Moisturiser for Combination Skin. Its December and Winter is here and its 15 degrees in Bangalore and very chilly. With the onset of this weather, the skin becomes dry and flaky. So what we need is a good winter care moisturizer which is oil-free and non-comedogenic.

AFTER
As you can see,it is a light-weight moisturiser which gets easily absorbed without leaving any oily residue.

Pro’s:

1)It is oil-free,non-greasy,creamy moisturiser.

2)It has Microsponge technology which moisturizes the dry regions of the face without making rest of the face oily/shiny.
3)It is very affordable.
4)It has no major comedogenic ingredients and does not break me out.
5)No artificial fragrance,Alcohol-free.
6)It acts as a nice make up base, preps the skin well before applying foundation/compact and sort of gives matte finish.
7)It comes in a very handy and hygienic pump which lasts for months.
8)Only one pump is sufficient to moisturise the entire face and keeps the s hydrated for a long time.
9)It is a really nice product to use especially when you are facing peeling/dryness/flakiness due to strong acne treatments like Benzoyl Peroxide,Retinoids etc.

Con’s:

1)It does have 3 mildly comedogenic ingredients(Glyceryl Stearate,Tocopherol,Stearyl Alcohol).Unless severe acne cases,it is pretty okay to use it.

2)No Sunscreen so use a good spf sunscreen along with it.
3)It can make super-oily skin folks,a bit more oily.In that case there is another variant Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturizer with SPF 15 is a good choice or you dust little bit of loose powder on top of it.
4)Not Paraben-free.

Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturiser Review

There is one more variant available on this range called the Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser with SPF 15(Green Label).

Ingredients: Water,Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate, Glycerin, Emulsifying Wax,Glyceryl Stearate,PEG-100,Stearate,Dimethicone, Triethanolamine, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Carbomer
It has the same properties as above except that it comes with Sunscreen SPF 15 and this is will suit all skin types including Oily Skin.

This will be more suited for Summers than Winters for Oily Skin.

One Disadvantage is SPF 15 is sufficient if you are Indoors but not for Outdoors.

Price is same as above.

Final Verdict:

Since I follow acne medications or get chemical peeling done,it renders skin dry.I have been using this moisturiser for a while and I can happily say it does not break me out.In the past,I have also used another variant Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser for Oily Skin with SPF 15.Both are non-comedogenic and very good products. These products can be used by Normal-Skin folks too.I have also got couple of friends who swear by this Moisturiser.

My Rating:4/5
